Polls for Assessing Learning

Clickers and polls are not new to post-secondary education, but some of the tools people use on campus — like Kahoot and TopHat — are not actually cleared for use on campus. They typically involve significant violations of data privacy, and Kahoot in particular is not a fully accessible platform.

But the good news is that Sli.do offers much of the same functionality, plus an option for collected anonymous questions in class, and it has passed a privacy audit here at TRU (because students don’t actually have to input any of their own data). So let’s take it for a test drive today!

Faculty participants, go to sli.do and enter Event Code #N132 to get started.
